Investor Challenge

A wholesaler had a contract that he anticipated “double closing” and was slated to use EquityMax for transactional funding.  However, roughly 36 hours before closing, his “B to C” buyer fell through, and he was stuck in a precarious position – he would either lose his deposit to the original seller, or he would need to close, and quick!

EquityMax received an immediate call from the borrower, who detailed his position.  Given that title was already complete in anticipation of the initial closing, EquityMax stepped in, and underwrote the deal with the borrower on the first phone call!  An in-person BPO was completed later that day.  Ultimately, EquityMax closed the following morning, with time to spare!

Outcome

The borrower exited the transaction keeping his deposit, and leveraging his knowledge of EquityMax to close his deal when no other lender could.  In a pinch, EquityMax came through, and the borrower was able to make a 6-figure profit on the deal.
